Straight Salts
Salt lowers the freezing point of water to around 19 degrees Fahrenheit. This means that salt will not allow water to remain frozen above this temperature, thus making straight salts a very effective method for ice melting.
Treated Salts
At Absolute Landscaping, we can also apply treated salt to your ice to help speed the process. Treated salts break down more quickly because the salt is softer and the additives lower the freezing point more than straight salt. Put the ice in the hot seat even faster with our treated salts.
